CLEAN EARTH, INC. KEARNY NJ FACILITY EXPANDS CAPABILITIES FOR
CHROME- AND PCB-CONTAMINATED MATERIALS AND RAIL ACCESS

Hatboro, Pa, July 9 – Clean Earth, Inc, one of the nation's largest processors of contaminated soil, dredge sediments, and other non-hazardous and hazardous materials, has expanded its capabilities at  its Kearny, New Jersey facility to treat chrome-contaminated materials and accept PCB- contaminated materials.  Additionally, the facility is now rail served for receiving, transporting and transferring material., according to Averil B. Rance, vice president of environmental, health & safety.

The new capabilities were approved by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, said Rance.

“Our Kearny facility is now the only authorized, fully permitted facility of its kind in New Jersey, with controls in place to transload environmentally secure hazardous and non-hazardous materials,” said Rance.

“With all the recent publicity associated with federally-exempt rail transfer facilities, this new capability not only gives us an environmental advantage, but will also help us competitively over the short and long run,” he said.

“Bottom line, these new capabilities enhance our ability to serve our customers.”

“We are the market leader. We are committed to demonstrating to our clients that we are faster, smarter, greener every day,” he said.
