CLEAN EARTH SPONSORS LICENSE SITE REMEDIATION PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE OCTOBER 7 IN WOODBRIDGE, NJ

Sept.3 --  Clean Earth, Inc., one of the nation's largest processors of contaminated soil, dredge sediments, and other non-hazardous and hazardous materials, is sponsoring a License Site  Remediation Professional (LSRP) workshop on October 7 at the Renaissance Hotel in Woodbridge, New Jersey.

The conference, co-sponsored by the Chemistry Council of New Jersey, has a comprehensive agenda. The morning portion of the conference will feature updates from legislators and regulators as well as industry experts giving presentations and panel discussions on what to expect from this new government program. It will culminate with an afternoon tour of Clean Earth’s hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facility located in Kearney, NJ.

“LSRP is an innovative program instituted by the State of New Jersey, which allows individuals to be licensed for site remediation work. It is designed to ease the backlog of sites incorporated in the existing Site Remediation Program,” said Clean Earth CEO Bill Massa.

The program is currently in the “transition stage” and will be mandatory come November 1, 2009, he added.

“We are proud to be sponsoring this timely workshop with the Chemistry Council of New Jersey, and we are also pleased to be able to offer participants a tour of our facility,” said Massa.

Registration for the workshop and tour is open to the public interested in LSRP, but the event will be particularly useful to: environmental consultants and attorneys, design engineers, construction engineers and contractors.
