Clean Earth Dredging Technologies, Inc. (Clean Earth DTI) has launched the most innovative recycling program for environmentally impacted dredged material in the country.

Dredging is a vital service supporting the nation’s navigation and waterborne transportation infrastructure, as channel maintenance and deepening projects allow the passage of domestic and international commercial vessels to the nations ports.

Clean Earth provides turnkey navigational and environmental dredging and sediment management services. From past industrial practices, much of the sediment that accumulates in these berths and channels is considered environmentally impacted. In cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the states of New Jersey , New York and Pennsylvania, Clean Earth has developed one of the most comprehensive dredged material management and beneficial use programs in operation today for contaminated sediments. In response to the needs for dedicated dredged material management resources, Clean Earth operates a commercial state-of-the-art sediment processing and stabilization facility serving the New York and New Jersey Harbor. Clean Earth’s Claremont Dredged Material Recycling Facility (DMRF) is permitted to receive and process in excess of 10,000 cubic yards of contaminated and uncontaminated sediment material per day.

The process utilizes combustion byproducts and various proprietary reagent admixtures to create an engineered manufactured fill material from the raw sediment. Processed dredged materials are then beneficially used in a variety of innovative applications, including brownfields remediation, landfill capping, and surface mine reclamation.
