Safety Manager

We are currently seeking a Safety Manager for our NE facilities. This position is located in our Kearny, New Jersey Facility but will report to the VP of EH&S with dotted line to the GM of the Kearny Facility.
Position Summary:
Directs and implements Environmental and Health & Safety programs for Clean Earth facilities to ensure facilities are compliant with Federal, State & Local regulations. Also to strive for a healthy and accident-free workplace in accordance with applicable regulations and Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities and Functions:
Support a zero tolerance culture of Safety and Environmental compliance.
Daily inspections of facility and processes
Health and Safety training for employees
Strictly enforce safety rules, requirements, and procedures
Perform required recordkeeping per regulations and company/facility policies
Provide operations management with direction/guidance as to the day to day operation of environmental, health and safety for field and/or plant.
Understand permit compliance for RCRA Part B permit compliance and non-haz facility permits.
Manages air permits
Assist with other tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of OSHA including reporting/recordkeeping
Self-motivated, with the ability to establish priorities, communicate effectively and work independently
3+ years of Hazmat and air monitoring experience or an equivalent combination
BA/BS Degree in relevant field or 5+ years of work experience in the field
RCRA & SARA experience a strong plus; CHMM desirable
