Clean Earth is an industry leader in the use of thermal desorption technology for the remediation, recycling, and beneficial reuse of contaminated materials all while significantly reducing the generators liability. With the ability to reach operational temperatures of 1000⁰F, the successful treatment of material contaminated with coal tar, polychlorinated biphenyls, conventional fuels, and solvents is easily attainable.
Thermal Desorption is a treatment technology which removes contaminants from solid media (e.g., soils) by volatilizing them with heat, but without combustion of the media. Volatilized contaminants are carried within the process air stream and destroyed by means of thermal oxidation. The resultant media is amenable to various reuse applications once adequate contaminant removal has been demonstrated.
Material Drying & Amendment
Whether it is drying paper mill sludge for animal bedding, drying mine tailings for reuse in abrasive products, drying sands for utilization in home building products, or drying process sludges to enhance metal recovery, Clean Earth will work with you to develop a program to dry your material.
