Foam Fractionation: Using air to create a stream of fine bubbles that rise within a contained space, the bubbles capture PFAS, producing a foam that rises to the top for collection. The foam is skimmed off, and the treated water remains.

Granular Activated Carbon: Carbon consists of natural adsorbent properties which, when treating water, can adsorb PFAS from the waste matrix leaving behind filtered water. The carbon used in this process eventually becomes contaminated. However, Clean Earth deploys a carbon regeneration process for reuse.

Supercritical Water Oxidation: Supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) is a single-step wet oxidation process that transforms organic compounds into water, carbon dioxide, and, depending on the waste undergoing treatment, an inert mineral solid residue. The process is highly effective in treating a variety of waste streams and contaminant concentrations.

Stabilization: In combining PFAS-contaminated soil with specifically developed additives, Clean Earth achieves a specific formulation that binds the contaminants to prevent leaching. This treated soil can then be beneficially reused. This solution specifically converts contaminants into less soluble, mobile, or toxic forms and results in no air quality issues.

Fixed-Base Thermal Desorption: Our thermal desorption solution heats the soil in a rotating dryer to separate and remove the contaminant. This solution results in elimination and specifically allows beneficial reuse of the remediation soil.

Onsite Thermal Desorption: Provides the same technology as our fixed-base facilities and can provide even more significant cost savings by eliminating transportation costs.
