The removal of open water soils or sediments through the use of mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment in an effort to restore and/or maintain the depth of the bottom contours of waterbodies. This material is processed (stabilized) and then transported to an approved Beneficial Use facility or alternate approved facility.
The removal of open water channel soils or sediments for the purpose of providing channel access for larger vessels. Larger generation vessels have continued to require deeper access channels. This material is processed (stabilized) and then transported to an approved Beneficial Use facility or alternate approved facility.
