Leadership team

Jeff Beswick serves as President, Clean Earth and Senior Vice President, Enviri. In this role, he is responsible for leading Enviri’s fastest growing division by developing and driving transformative strategies and initiatives. Jeff joined Clean Earth after spending nearly 30 years in the environmental services industry, most recently as the Chief Commercial Officer at Valicor Environmental Services. Prior to this, he was Chief Executive Officer (U.S. Operations) of Tradebe Environmental Services and Vice President, Recycling at Clean Harbors Environmental Services. Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Massachusetts.

With more than 30 years of diversified environmental services experience, Peterson served as Senior Vice President at Badger Infrastructure Solutions, a leading hydro-excavation provider in North America. Her comprehensive responsibilities encompassed oversight of sales, operations, safety, and customer service functions across four key regions and a network of over 140 service centers. 

Prior to this, Peterson worked at Clean Harbors for more than two decades, holding a range of influential leadership positions, most recently as Senior Vice President of the East Region and Vice President of US Industrial Services. Peterson’s impactful leadership at Clean Harbors resulted in the successful integration of more than 15 acquisitions. Her strategic vision and commercial insight contributed significantly to managing revenues exceeding $750 million.

Michael S. Polcovich serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Clean Earth. In this role, he is responsible for leading the evaluation and execution of Clean Earth's strategy, providing leadership to the financial, procurement, IT, business development, and commercial pricing organizations, as well as leading major growth initiatives. Michael joined Harsco in 2007 from public accounting and has served the Company in various progressive leadership positions, most recently as Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Strategy. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Susquehanna University and a Master’s degree in Taxation from Villanova University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Pam Daknis joined the Clean Earth leadership team as Vice President, Human Resources in December 2023. Pam and her team are responsible for all aspects of Human Resources in an employee’s lifecycle from recruitment to onboarding, training, development, performance management, change management, and organizational design. Pam has over 20 years of Human Resources experience as a leader in multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals and chemical manufacturing. She is passionate about creating inclusive cultures that empower employees and champion positive employee experience. She has led HR functions through multiple acquisitions and integrations, built high-performing teams, while establishing HR as a strategic value-added function, helping organizations achieve their strategic goals through exceptional people practices.

Melanie has been with the company since 2000 and currently serves as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Environmental Compliance. With more than two decades of experience in hazardous waste operations and environmental compliance, Melanie brings deep regulatory expertise and a practical, results-driven approach to environmental leadership.

Known for a unique ability to balance the operational needs of the business with the complexities of environmental regulations, Melanie takes a fair, thoughtful, and impartial approach to decision-making—ensuring compliance is achieved without compromising business integrity or efficiency. Melanie has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management from Columbia Southern University.

Brandon joined the Clean Earth leadership team in 2022 as Vice President of Operations. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing Clean Earth's national network of service centers, managing service personnel, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service execution across the organization’s extensive footprint.

He has more than 25 years of progressive leadership experience spanning operations, logistics, environmental services, sales, and team development. He has held leadership roles in both privately held and publicly traded companies, consistently driving performance improvements, operational efficiencies, and long-term strategic growth. Prior to joining Clean Earth, Brandon spent over a decade at Cintas Corporation.

James Hull is responsible for the continual growth of Clean Earth's soil, dredge materials, and on-site services sales. With over 26 years of experience in the waste industry, James brings a wealth of market knowledge and recognized winning strategies. James’ areas of expertise include continual revenue growth, contract negotiation, and market share growth. Throughout his career, James has proven himself to be an initiator and developer of business growth and profitability. His accomplishments include being selected three times for Waste Management's Circle of Excellence, which recognizes the top sales representatives and was the recipient of the prestigious Eagle Award naming him Top Industrial Sales Representative. At Clean Earth, James has been an integral part of adding six more Clean Earth locations and multiple new lines of service. James graduated from West Virginia University.

Sarah Papineau Kowalczyk joined the Clean Earth leadership team as Vice President, Division General Counsel in 2020. Sarah and her team are responsible for supporting Clean Earth’s legal operations, including contracting, litigation, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Clean Earth, Sarah most recently served as General Counsel and VP of Risk Management for Tradebe Environmental Services. Throughout her career, both in private practice and within this industry, Sarah has counseled on air, water and waste permitting, site remediation, transactional and regulatory compliance issues arising under RCRA, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, FIFRA, CERCLA and related state laws, as well as in connection with contracting, real estate and corporate transactions, litigation and insurance coverage. Sarah graduated from Marist College with Bachelor of Science in both environmental science (policy emphasis) and political science. She went on to receive her law degree from Hofstra University School of Law, where she had the opportunity to intern with the legal department within EPA Region 2.

Michael H Langston is the VP of Environmental Safety and Health for Clean Earth and is based in King of Prussia, PA.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Hygiene for the University of Central Missouri and began his career as an intern for Granite City Steel.

Upon completion of the internship, Michael was hired full-time as a Safety and Industrial Hygiene specialist.  Five years later he was promoted to the Manager of the Safety and Health Department where he was responsible for the safety and health direction of nearly 5,000 employees.

Due to the steel crisis in 2001, Michael resigned from his position with Granite City Steel and began his career with Emerson.  Michael began as the Manager of Environmental Safety and Health or Fisher Controls in Marshalltown.  From there, he was promoted to the Director of Environmental Safety and Health for Fisher and Valve Automation Global Operations.  In 2008, Michael began his role as the Director of Safety, Health and Workers' Compensation for Emerson Worldwide with the challenge to change the Safety and Health approach across the corporation.  In 2017, Michael joined AmeriGas as the Corporate Group Safety Director, leading the team on a journey to achieve Safety Excellence.  AmeriGas at the time was the largest Propane delivery service across North America and was challenged to safely install, deliver, and support our customer base by providing safe and reliable LP gas in their homes and businesses. 

Dan Morrow is Vice President, Business Transformation for Clean Earth. Dan and his team are responsible for all aspects of business transformation including business processes, quality, change management and project/product management; driving operational change and continuous improvement. Dan has over 25 years of experience as a leader in the environmental consulting, waste management and environmental recycling industries. Since joining Clean Earth, Dan has held leadership roles in multiple business units (Consulting, Dredging, Customer Service, Transportation, Field Services, and Sales Operations). Dan graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and has received continuing education certifications from Columbia University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sergio Nusimovich serves as VP Engineering and Technical Director, leading technical transformation, deployment of new technologies, and engineering projects to expand Clean Earth’s capabilities. Sergio leads a multidisciplinary team that scouts for innovative technologies and works with the organization to get those new processes to market in Clean Earth’s network. Sergio joined Clean Earth in 2024 with over 30 years of experience in leadership roles in waste management in Europe, the United States, and Australia. He is a Chemical Engineer and holds a degree in Chemistry and an MBA.

Kelly Williams joined the Clean Earth leadership team as Vice President, Transportation and Logistics in September 2022. He is responsible for all transportation functions including fleet, equipment, emergency response, field technician training and credit cards. Through acquisitions, he has been with the Company for 10 years. Prior to this role, Kelly worked at FedEx for 21 years in various operations and dangerous goods roles.
