At Clean Earth, we value the patronage of our customers and strive to provide you with the safest and cost-effective service in the environmental solutions industry. Every day we look for opportunities to improve our service capabilities to maintain our standing as your environmental service provider of choice. Like many of you, Clean Earth continues to absorb rising costs, many of which are beyond our control. A majority of these costs are directly tied to commodities and industries that have risen at a pace far exceeding our normal operating costs. Many of these increases come from fuel and other energy-related products/services, insurance, environmental regulatory compliance, and costs related to increasing security requirements.

EFFECTIVE: MARCH 23, 2026

Our ability to recover these costs in a timely fashion enables us to continue operating profitably, which in turn, allows us to continue to provide high service standards to our customers. Due to diesel pricing and market conditions, Clean Earth will be implementing a fuel surcharge policy using an index-based surcharge that is reviewed and adjusted on a weekly basis. This surcharge applies when the average price of diesel fuel in the applicable region is a minimum of $4.00 per gallon.

Diesel prices are acquired from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) website. This site is updated weekly and is based on the average retail On-Highway diesel prices for the different regions and around the country. Clean Earth pricing is based on the Central-Atlantic region.

EIA pricing information is available at: https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/
