We have all heard the phrase “connect the dots,” and many of us did the early childhood puzzle where you would connect the numbered dots and create a picture. Our Sustainability Plan contains 69 discreet tasks that are the dots we are connecting to build and grow Clean Earth into the nation’s leading environmentally responsible processor of specialty waste.
Our team has made substantial progress to achieve our sustainability goals set through 2018. There were many successes and lessons learned in 2016 which have allowed Clean Earth to connect to our stakeholders in new and different ways. Through focused efforts and collaboration on our sustainability action items, as a team we uncovered new opportunities, ideas, and shortcomings, and have incorporated those into our overall sustainability plan. Our team identified additional areas within our business to transition from paper to electronic project management reducing our overall footprint and improving efficiencies. Our Safety Program remains a top priority in which we are making broad gains.
Through a 2020 strategic plan, our company is positioned to proactively address the macroeconomic trends as they present themselves in the future. The four goals of our sustainability framework connect with our company’s strategic plan and continue to address the trends we see in our industry and our nation. Our sustainability plan and 2020 strategic plan include environmental dimensions which connect with and drive sustainable growth. Our objective, as a company, is sustainable growth, and our team continues to unveil new opportunities both organically and through acquisition.
Our team is connected by our shared values of performance, empowerment, honesty, teamwork, and integrity. Sustainability is the core of Clean Earth’s mission every day. Clean Earth – it is what we do, it is who we are, and it is who we aspire to be.
